Happy Thursday friends!! I hope you are all enjoying a good week.  Winter is definitely on it way here in Virginia this week.  The nights are very cool and most mornings we wake up to frost.  The trees have mostly lost their leaves.  It does get you more in the mood for the winter holidays.  Like my dear hubby said, it is hard to put Christmas lights or a tree when it looks like Summer or Fall.

Keeping winter and Christmas in mind, I decided to share a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs that will be released on December 1.....a wide array of GORGEOUS Snowflakes in the Snowflake Background and Sparkling Snowflakes stampsets.

I decided to make A quick Christmas card!! All it took was dry embossing with my Snowflake folder and Swiss Dots folder from Provocraft, some sewing (to secure the gold glitter paper...doesn't glue very well) and some gold embossing.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are somehow inspired by my creation.  Have a blessed day!!

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope everyone in the USA had a great Thanksgiving Holiday!!  I know I did!! It was a nice quiet weekend that we shared as a family.  Although I am still not able to get around very well due to the muscle pull in my leg, I had the the opportunity to supervise the girls and my dear hubby with the Christmas decorations.  We really did quite a lot done!!!

Anywho...today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs and something to add to my holiday decor!!!

This week's challenge is to Deck the Halls!!  We want to see those ornaments or something hanging on your creation!!

I decided to make an ornament and treat box in one.  For this first ornament I used the Ornaments Stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs as well as the Cardinal Ornaments for the sentiment.  The ornament shape is cut out with the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament.

Here is a side view:

Here is a side view from the top so you can see the delicious Lindt chocolates!!

Here is a second ornament I created with the Ornaments stamp set.  The sentiment is from the Chickadee Ornaments Stamp set.  This one I added some pearls and gold baubles to.  The image is colored with copics.

Happy Tuesday Friends!! I hope all are doing well.  Soon it will be Thanksgiving!!  I can't believe it is only 2 days away.  Our family is getting together with family we have in Virginia.  I am so thankful to have family near by.  While I miss my parents tremendously I am so thankful for my sister and brother in law and their family and my Aunt and Uncle who have become like parents to me.  What a blessing!!  With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Christmas is also on it's way.  I am not near ready!!

I think Christmas is such a beautiful time of year not only because we Celebrate Christ's birth but because the ornaments and decorations are just so elegant and beautiful. With that in mind, I wanted to capture that elegance in today's card.  I am sharing this card for this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

This week's challenge is:

Create a winter holiday card or project. (Christmas or Thanksgiving)

Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Holiday Ornaments 1
Embossing Folders: Sizzix Poinsettia, Provocraft Swiss Dots
Dies: Spellbinders Holiday Tags, Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents

Happy Monday Friends!! I hope all are doing well and had a great weekend!!  I am limited on what I can do since I am still not able to be on my feet.  Nothing like relying on others to run errands or do what I need.  Makes you thankful for the health and strength you so often take for granted.

Anywho....today the team at Our Daily Bread Designs is doing a feature on the Elegant Oval Frames Die and some of the coordinating stamps for this week's Feature Focus at the ODBD blog.

For my creation I used the Elegant Oval dies, the Elegant Oval Frame stamps, and the Cardinal Ornaments to make a Christmas card.  I stamped my frame in real red then cut out the middle with the Petite small and large ovals from Spellbinders.  The cardinal is cut out with copics and was cut out.  (Hint: don't use the 120 lb. cardstock for cutting out images with a lot of fussy/fancy cutting)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs- Elegant Oval Frames, Cardinal Ornament
Dies: Large and small Petite oval dies, Elegant Oval Die from ODBD, A2 Matting Basics a and b, A-2 Polka Dots, Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish,  Petite small and large ovals from Spellbinders.
Paper: Neenah White, Read Red
Ink: Black Memento, Real Red, Copics
Accessories: sheer white ribbon, Bow Easy, Swiss Dots Embossing folder

Here are the ODBD products I used:

Happy Hump Day Friends!! Seems like just yesterday that the week was just beginning!!  Time just is flying by.  With that in mind, I decided to make a Christmas card....Christmas is just around the corner.

Christmas feels very magical to me not just because of the baby born on Christmas day that was sent to save the world and the feeling of Hope it gives me but because the warmth and memories many of us treasure.  Christmas brings out the best in people and the spirit of giving.  I don't mean shopping....the crowds and traffic often bring out the worst in people. I mean the hearts who try to do something for others whether it to bring a smile to someone's face or just a helping hand.

Being in Virginia now, I am not sure if I will have a snow filled Christmas that makes me feel warm and cozy inside but I know there are cardinals...one of the treasured pieces of God's nature that I think of at Christmas.  That is one of the many reasons I am loving this Cardinal Ornament stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I just love the reds, olive, and very vanilla color combo!! It is perfect for Christmas.
I had so much fun coloring up the Cardinal Ornament with my copics. The sentiment is from the Turtle Dove Ornament stamp set. The background panel is embossed with the Sizzix Holly embossing folder and sewn on the side edges. The pearl flourishes are from ZVA Creative and the leaf is Spellbinders Foliage.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

I hope this creation, has somehow inspired you!

Have a blessed Day!!!

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope everyone is doing well!!  Life has been interesting for me...unfortunately I have been lying low due to a pulled or torn muscle in my upper leg...making walking almost impossible with tremendous pain.  It sure makes crafting interesting.  I have to give a lot of credit to my dear daughter Nicki for this card since she had to go up and down the stairs SEVERAL times to my craft area to get whatever I needed.  Thanks Nicki!!!

Anywho...today I would like to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

This week's challenge:
ODBDSLC130 Use gold or silver on your creation.

For my creation I used the Chickadee Ornaments from Our Daily Bread Designs.

In addition to making this for the Shining the Light challenge, I also cased this card from my dear friend and dt sister, Angie Crockett who was crowned Queen at Splitcoast Stampers!! Congrats Angie!! You are so deserving!!  I changed the stamps used, the dies to frame my image, the papers, the bow, and added embossing.  The image is colored with copics.  I added gold embossing around each layer to frame it.

The photos below are the same photo but with different backgrounds.  Which do you like better?
